The Creator Of Mother’s Day Was Never A Mother…And Her House Is Haunted!

Anna Jarvis is responsible for getting Mothers Day recognized as a holiday. Her hope was to create a day to honor all mothers by writing them heartfelt letters. On May 8th 1914,President Wilson signed a resolution that made Mother’s Day the legal holiday that we celebrate today. Anna Jarvis felt disheartened when she saw the commercialization that Mother’s Day began to carry. She fought to resend the holiday, which ultimately led to being placed in  a sanitarium, where she died in 1948.

Anna Jarvis never married and had no children. The house her and her family once lived in is now a museum. The people that work at the museum say that it is haunted by members of the Jarvis family. Take a look at this video and see for yourself.anna jarvis
